Abaliget Cave

Nature’s artifact.

A one-of-a-kind show-place, the treasure of Mecsek. The health cave, famous for its fresh air, offers pleasant walks and exciting recreation.

The cave was discovered in the mid-eighteenth century, but made available to the public in the eighties of the twentieth century. It is characterized by rich stalactite, mainly stalagmites and stalactites. The total length of corridors is 1764 meters, of which a half-kilometer route is made available to tourists. Inside there is a microclimate favorably affecting respiratory diseases.
